How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account and all associated data using one of the following methods:
Method 1: From Within the App (Recommended)
- Open the Kaneesty app on your device
- Go to Profile from the bar at the bottom of the screen
- Tap Settings (the ⚙️ icon at the top of the page)
- Tap Privacy & your data, then Delete my account
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete my account for good
Method 2: Via Email
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion via email:
Send an email to: kaneesty0@gmail.com
Subject: Account Deletion Request - Kaneesty
Body: Include the email address associated with your account in the app
Response Time: We will process your request within 48 hours
Data That Will Be Deleted
When you delete your account, all of the following data will be permanently deleted:
- Account Information: Name, email address, profile picture
- Authentication Data: Login credentials
- Preferences: Favorite prayers, saved hymns, notification settings
- Progress Data: Faith Challenge game progress, achievements, scores
- Activity History: Spiritual assistant conversations, bookmarks
- Subscription Data: Subscription records (Note: Active subscriptions must be cancelled through Google Play or App Store before deleting your account)
⚠️ Important Warning
Account deletion is irreversible. Once you confirm deletion:
- You will not be able to recover your account or any associated data
- You will lose all your progress and achievements in the app
- All data will be deleted within 30 days of the request
📌 Note About Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel active subscriptions. You must cancel your subscription manually from:
- Android: Google Play → Subscriptions → Kaneesty → Cancel Subscription
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Kaneesty → Cancel Subscription
Data Retention After Deletion
- Personal data is immediately deleted from active systems
- Backups are purged within 30 days
- Aggregated, anonymized data (that does not identify you) may be retained for statistical purposes
